7 essential keys to improving your blog

Improving Your Blog- Peter Lang

If you look at all the successful blogs in the world, you’ll see they are constantly looking for ways to improve their blogs. You don’t have full control when trying to make your blog successful, but we do have control over our own actions.

I’m going to show you how easy it is to start the process of refining your blog with these seven essential keys to blog improvement.

1. Know your reason for blogging.

Are you wandering through blogging with little or no direction – hoping that you’ll find the road to online wealth? Determine your blog mission or reason you started blogging, and you’ll have a unique compass that will lead you to your true destination.

2. Identify your Blog’s value

Do you know what your value is? Make a list of everything that you offer. Some things you may include are your perspective, quality, education, motivation, passions, etc. Think about the things you do daily. Are they matching your value proposition? If not, stop and set some goals and align your activities to your value.

3. Determine your Blogging needs

Unmet needs can create a failure mentality that can potentially make you unhappy and stressed. Working backwards from your goals define the “needs” of your blog. You should always make it a priority to take care of the little things that enable you to reach your blog’s goals. Your blog needs your time, interest, promotion, and appreciation.

4. Discover your passions through your blog.

The only way to do anything every day is to do things that you care about and passionately desire. Wake up every morning with enthusiasm, and put your heart and all your energy into everything you’re passionate about.

“How do you go from where you are to where you want to be? I think you have to have an enthusiasm for life. You have to have a dream, a goal, and you have to be willing to work for it.” Jim Valvano

5. Blog from the inside out

Success starts from within. Tap into your motivation and creativity by going outside to explore nature or stay in, turn the lights down and listen to music. By taking time to reflect in thought you’ll be able to give more to your blog.

6. Play to your strengths.

If someone asks you what the strengths of your blog are, would you be able to pitch it with confidence? If not, you have another list to make. Is your blog creative, organized, witty, fun, or informative? Make a list of all the positive traits of your blog or the things that make your offering special. After you complete the list, find ways to express your authentic voice through your strengths. There is no better way to increase your confidence blogging.

7. Be a giver

When you blog authentically, you develop a connection with your readers. When you are true to who you are, blog with a purpose and share your passion and talents with the world you indeed become a giver. The reward for sharing value is a gift to those who experience it and is indeed rewarding. Givers attract positive energy to their community and people evangelize to support them.

It may seem a bit overwhelming when you start blogging at first, but it will be so worth it at the end.

“Don’t give up, don’t ever give up.” – Jim Valvano
